Frequently asked questions
How much does a taxi or transfer from Málaga Airport to Almería cost?
230 € for a car with up to 4 passengers and 300 € for a minivan with up to 8. It is the price per vehicle, not per person, and it already includes taxes, luggage and tolls.
How long does it take from Málaga Airport to Almería?
About 140 minutes for the 205 km of the route, door to door and without stops. In August and at peak times it can take a little longer.
Do you also drive from Almería back to the airport?
Yes, at the same price. We agree on the pick-up time based on your flight and we are there ahead of it.
How and when do I pay?
You pay the driver at the end of the trip, by card or in cash. No prepayment and no card details needed to book.
Almería has its own airport. Why fly into Málaga instead?
Mostly because of choice. According to Aena, Málaga-Costa del Sol airport handled 26.8 million passengers in 2025 and Almería airport about 800,000, so Málaga usually offers far more routes and departure times, which helps when you are fitting a family trip around a flight. The price of that choice is a drive of a little over 200 km to Almería. Tell us your flight details on WhatsApp and we time the pick-up around them; a late landing is covered by the 60-minute wait at no extra cost.
What if we are staying in Roquetas de Mar, Cabo de Gata or Mojácar?
It depends on the place. Roquetas de Mar has its own fixed fare, and you can pick it as your destination when you book. Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1997, with villages such as San José, and Mojácar fall outside this fare, which covers Almería city only: send us the address on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether we can do the trip and at what price.
It is a drive of over two hours with children: can we stop for a break on the way?
It can be arranged. The route follows the A-7 coastal motorway for almost the whole way and passes Nerja and Motril. If you would like a short stop to stretch your legs or for the children, say so on WhatsApp when you book, we agree it before the trip, and we confirm whether it fits around your flight.
Can you take us to Almería port for the ferry to Melilla, Nador or Algeria?
The port is in the city, so the trip between Málaga Airport and the port costs the same as to any address in Almería. Ferries leave Almería for Melilla, Nador (Morocco) and Algeria, and the ferry company sets the boarding cut-off. Before you book, send us your flight and the sailing time on WhatsApp: we will tell you whether the timings work, to or from the port, before anything is confirmed.
